• Schedule: 1 session per week, 2 hours per session

Curriculum Highlights:

1. Week 1: Mastering the Machine

   • Review sewing machine functions and advanced stitches
   • Learn maintenance and troubleshooting tips

2. Week 2: Fabric & Patterns

   • Choose the right fabric and learn to read and alter patterns

3. Week 3: Garment Basics

   • Sew a simple elastic waistband skirt or pajama pants
   • Practice hemming and seam finishing

4. Week 4: Advanced Techniques

   • Master zippers, buttons, and snaps
   • Create darts and pleats

5. Week 5: Final Project

   • Design and sew a garment of their choice (e.g., a top or dress)

6. Week 6: Showcase Your Work

   • Finalize projects and present them in a mini fashion show

End Goal:
Teens complete a custom garment and skills portfolio, earning a Teen Tailor Badge.
