As creators, we’re taught to keep producing — to design, to deliver, to do more. But recently, I learned that real growth often happens in the quiet moments, when we allow ourselves to pause, breathe, and realign with purpose.
After my last major event, I made the decision to step back from sewing full-time and shift my energy toward teaching, writing, and developing digital products. It wasn’t an easy choice — but it was a necessary one.
This pause gave me space to rediscover why I started Satin Ribbons Designs in the first place: to inspire creativity, confidence, and self-expression.
Now, my energy flows into projects that share my passion with others:
✂️ Teaching sewing and design workshops that empower students to create with confidence.
📚 Writing and distributing books that spark imagination and celebrate creativity.
đź’» Designing digital products and resources that make sewing and entrepreneurship more accessible.
Each project helps me grow without rushing — it’s purpose over pressure, always.
Growth requires pruning.
Just as fabric must be cut before it’s transformed into a beautiful garment, sometimes we must release what’s comfortable to make room for what’s next.
This season is not an ending — it’s an evolution. Satin Ribbons Designs is growing into a space that honors creativity, education, and balance.
I’m still designing, still dreaming — just differently, and more intentionally.
As Prom 2025 approaches, I’ll be accepting only high-end couture clients — those who appreciate the craftsmanship and artistry behind each design.
Until then, my focus is on education, writing, and digital creation — areas that allow Satin Ribbons to reach and inspire more people than ever before.
If you’re in a similar season of slowing down, remember: your pause has power.
You’re not behind — you’re becoming.
